Description

Quick and tasty dumplings made with shrimp and rice paper wrappers, ready in about 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 8 rice paper wrappers
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Dipping sauce of choice

Instructions

  1. Combine shrimp, green onions, cilantro, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Soak rice paper wrappers in warm water until soft.
  3. Place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture on each wrapper.
  4. Fold and roll the wrappers tightly.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the dumplings until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

Chop shrimp small for better filling consistency. Do not soak rice paper too long, and work on a damp towel. Fry at medium heat for best results.
