Ingredients

- 500g boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 150g plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 400g canned crushed tomatoes
- 200ml heavy cream
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh coriander, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, and salt. Add chicken and marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté onions until golden.
- Add garlic and ginger; cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add marinated chicken and cook until lightly browned.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in garam masala and heavy cream, then cook for another 5-10 minutes until sauce is thickened.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with basmati rice or naan.
Notes
Adjust chili or cayenne if you prefer it spicier. Perfect with naan to soak up that luscious sauce!
