Ingredients

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or bone-in pieces
  • Salt and pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • Onion powder
  • Cooking spray or a light oil (like avocado or canola)
  • Optional: marinades or dry rubs

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry with paper towels for maximum crispiness.
  2. Season generously with your favorite spices or marinades.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Arrange chicken in a single layer in the basket.
  5. Cook boneless chicken for 10–15 minutes; bone-in pieces for 20–25 minutes; whole chicken for 40–60 minutes, depending on size.
  6. Flip halfway through cooking for even browning.
  7. Use a meat thermometer to check that internal temperature is 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let chicken rest a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Always use a meat thermometer to avoid under- or overcooking. For juicier results, try brining or marinating your chicken before air frying.
