Amish Hamburger Steak Bake

A comforting dish combining ground beef with vegetables and creamy mushroom soup, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Mashed potatoes or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and celery, and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in the sliced mushrooms, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with the beef broth until smooth.
  6. Add the soup mixture to the skillet and combine well.
  7. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  9. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables.
