Ingredients

  • 2025 pieces Jumbo pasta shells (cooked al dente)
  • 2 cups Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 0.5 cups Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg (lightly beaten)
  • 3 cups Marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp Ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ricotta, half the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, basil, garlic powder, and nutmeg until combined.
  4. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.
  5. Fill each shell with the cheese mixture and arrange in the baking dish over the sauce.
  6. Top with remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Uncover and bake another 5-10 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

Do not overcook shells; drain well to prevent watery filling. Use high-quality marinara for best flavor.
