- 20 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each cooked shell with the cheese mixture.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed shells in the baking dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce over them.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
Do not overcook the pasta shells; they should be al dente as they will bake further in the oven.
