Best Christmas Stuffed Shells

Delicious jumbo pasta shells filled with a creamy cheese mixture, perfect for holiday gatherings.

  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each cooked shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Arrange the stuffed shells in the baking dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce over them.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the stuffed shells a day ahead and keep them in the refrigerator. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preference.
