Description
A quick and healthy smoothie packed with good fats and fiber, perfect for breakfast or a post-workout snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups of fresh or frozen organic blueberries
- 4 tablespoons of flaxseeds
- 1 scoop of protein powder
- 1/2 cup ice
- 2 tablespoons of cacao powder
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (to taste)
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon of spirulina (optional)
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients into the blender (except for the coconut oil).
- Blend on high until smooth.
- Stream in melted coconut oil to emulsify.
- Blend until smooth and enjoy right away.
- Pour into a tall glass, topping with whole blueberries or cacao nibs.
- Serve with nuts or a slice of toast for a fuller meal.
- If storing, place in an airtight jar in the fridge and use within 24 hours. Shake well before drinking.
Notes
For a thicker texture, use frozen blueberries. Ground flaxseeds improve texture and nutrition. Melt coconut oil before adding it to the blender.
