Blueberry Cacao Flaxseed Smoothie

A quick, healthy breakfast or snack smoothie packed with blueberries, cacao, flaxseeds, and protein.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen organic blueberries
  • 4 tablespoons flaxseeds
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon to taste
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina (optional)

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients into the blender (except for the coconut oil).
  2. Blend on high until smooth.
  3. Stream in melted coconut oil to emulsify.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Enjoy right away.

Notes

For best texture, pour into a tall glass and drink immediately. You can top with whole blueberries or cacao nibs.
