Description

Quick and tasty sausage bites coated in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sausage (your choice of type)
  • 1/2 cup sugar-free brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the sugar-free brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the BBQ sauce.
  3. Slice the sausages into bite-sized pieces.
  4. In a baking dish, combine the sausage slices with the BBQ sauce until well coated.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the sausages are cooked through and caramelized.
  6. Serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.

Notes

Use sausages you like best, and cut pieces about the same size for even cooking. Add a splash of water to thin the sauce if necessary. For extra caramelization, broil for the last 1-2 minutes.
