Quick and tasty sausage bites coated in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sausage (your choice of type)
- 1/2 cup sugar-free brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the sugar-free brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the BBQ sauce.
- Slice the sausages into bite-sized pieces.
- In a baking dish, combine the sausage slices with the BBQ sauce until well coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the sausages are cooked through and caramelized.
- Serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.
Notes
Use sausages you like best, and cut pieces about the same size for even cooking. Add a splash of water to thin the sauce if necessary. For extra caramelization, broil for the last 1-2 minutes.
