Cheddar Ham Protein Biscuits

Delicious and hearty Cheddar Ham Protein Biscuits packed with protein from cottage cheese and ham, perfect for breakfast or snacks.

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 16 oz cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 6 oz ham or turkey, diced
  • 1/3 cup chives, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper lightly floured.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, onion powder, garlic powder, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the cottage cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, whisked eggs, diced ham, and finely chopped chives. Stir until fully combined.
  4. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix initially with a spoon, then use floured hands to knead into a large dough ball.
  5. Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking sheet and flatten it into a rectangle approximately 7×10 inches.
  6. Cut the dough into 12 biscuit portions and space them evenly on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes, until golden brown on top and cooked through.
  8. Let the biscuits cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Great for breakfast sandwiches or as a snack. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 2 months.
