Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Delightful chewy chocolate chip cookies that are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup chopped dark chocolate (or any chocolate of your choice)
  • Flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixer or a large bowl, combine the melted butter with brown and granulated sugars. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  2. Add the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Mix just until combined.
  3. Fold in the chopped dark chocolate.
  4. Portion the dough into balls and chill for at least 20 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Place the chilled dough balls on the sheet and bake for 10-11 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired. Let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. Frozen cookies can be kept for up to 3 months.
