Chewy Christmas Cranberry Orange Cookies

Deliciously chewy cookies featuring dried cranberries, white chocolate chips, and a hint of orange zest, perfect for the holiday season.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and orange juice.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the cranberries, white chocolate chips, and orange zest.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For stronger orange flavor, add more zest or juice. Store in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze for longer storage.
