Description
Festive sausage rolls filled with savory sausage, sweet cranberry, and creamy Brie, perfect for parties or family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 400g pork sausage meat
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- Mixed herbs, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to season
- Ready-to-roll puff pastry
- Cranberry sauce
- Brie, sliced
- 1 beaten egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C/180°C fan and lightly grease a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine sausage meat, crushed garlic, orange zest, mixed herbs, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Lightly flour a surface and unroll the pastry, cutting it in half lengthwise.
- Spread cranberry sauce down the middle of each half, leaving space on the sides.
- Divide the sausage meat and spread it along the length of the pastry, then layer the Brie on top.
- Brush one edge of the pastry with beaten egg and fold the other side over, sealing tightly.
- Cut each roll into 4 pieces and poke slits on top for steam release.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
Notes
For a shiny, golden top, brush with beaten egg before baking. Chill rolls for 10 minutes before cutting to prevent the filling from squishing out.
