- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, thyme, breadcrumbs, and egg in a large bowl.
- Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Brown the meatballs on all sides in the skillet, then transfer them to a baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Mix by hand and do not overwork the meat to keep meatballs tender. For extra softness, consider adding a splash of milk.
