Description

A simple and familiar dish that combines green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and crispy onions for a creamy, crunchy experience.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot of boiling water, blanch the green beans for about 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in the blanched green beans.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the crispy fried onions on top.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

Trim beans to similar length for even cooking. Use low-sodium soup if desired.
