Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Beat in the vanilla and eggs until well combined.
  5. Blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature butter and eggs, and avoid overmixing the dough once flour is added.
