Cracked Garlic Steak Tortellini in Creamhouse Sauce Bliss

A delightful dish combining the richness of steak, creamy sauce, and cheese tortellini, perfect for dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika on both sides.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the seasoned steak and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and let it rest.
  5. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  6. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring well. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  8. Gradually add the parmesan cheese while stirring, allowing it to melt into the sauce.
  9. Slice the rested steak thinly and add it back into the skillet along with the cooked tortellini. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
  10. Serve hot, garnishing with chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper, if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the steak before cooking, and customize the dish with vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
