- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper, sauté until softened.
- Stir in diced chicken and cook until browned.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and simmer for 5 more minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
Adjust the heat level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning. For a thicker soup, consider adding a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with water. Fresh herbs like thyme or basil can enhance the flavor even more.
