Description
A simple and filling meal featuring tender steak, creamy garlic sauce, and pasta, perfect for weeknights or entertaining guests.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225g) pasta, such as fettuccine or linguine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into strips
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.
- Sauté the steak for about 3-4 minutes, until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, simmering over medium heat. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Season the sauce with Italian seasoning and more salt and pepper if needed.
- Add the cooked pasta and steak back into the skillet, tossing to combine and fully coat with the creamy sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, consider squeezing a little lemon juice or adding extra garlic to the sauce.
