Creamy Scalloped Potatoes

This dish features layers of tender potatoes, rich cream, and melted cheese, making it a comforting addition to any meal.

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Layer the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  4. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes evenly.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crispy top, consider broiling for the last few minutes. You can also add chopped onions or sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.
