Description
Enjoy fried chicken with fewer carbs using almond flour and parmesan for a crispy, golden coating.
Ingredients
- chicken pieces (thighs, drumsticks, or breasts)
- almond flour
- parmesan cheese (grated)
- eggs
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- paprika
- salt
- black pepper
- oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Preheat your oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix almond flour, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Beat the eggs in another bowl.
- Dip each chicken piece in the egg mixture, then coat in the almond flour mixture.
- Carefully place the coated chicken in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes depending on the size of the pieces.
- Remove from oil and let drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with veggies and a salad.
Notes
Pat chicken dry before coating to help the mix stick. Keep oil at steady 350°F to avoid burned crust or undercooked inside.
