Delicious Chocolate Strawberry Cake

A rich, moist cake that combines delicious chocolate and sweet strawberries, perfect for all celebrations.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced)
  • Baking soda (to taste)
  • Baking powder (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, sift together the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, beat the wet ingredients: softened butter, eggs, and milk until creamy.
  4. Gradually combine the wet and dry mixtures until just blended; pour into prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool on wire racks.
  7. Prepare the strawberry filling by tossing sliced strawberries with sugar; layer between cooled cakes with ganache.
