Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the butter with the granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla, buttermilk, and red food coloring; mix until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto prepared sheets, leaving space between them.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Cool on wire racks.

Notes
