A quick and flavorful shrimp dish that’s perfect for weeknight meals or special occasions.
Ingredients

- 1 pound large, peeled, and deveined shrimp
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons butter (use Halal-certified butter)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 medium lemon, juiced
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel.
- Mix paprika, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Mince the garlic and chop parsley.
- Juice the lemon and set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add shrimp in a single layer. Sprinkle the spice mix over shrimp.
- Cook shrimp 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through. Remove shrimp to a plate.
- Lower heat to medium. Add the remaining butter to the pan. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice and scrape any brown bits from the pan.
- Return shrimp to the pan and toss in the sauce to coat well.
- Sprinkle Parmesan if using and mix briefly. Turn off heat.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and extra lemon if desired.
Notes
Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
