A quick and flavorful shrimp dish that’s perfect for weeknight meals or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large, peeled, and deveined shrimp
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter (use Halal-certified butter)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 medium lemon, juiced
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel.
  2. Mix paprika, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Mince the garlic and chop parsley.
  4. Juice the lemon and set aside.
  5. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.
  6. Add shrimp in a single layer. Sprinkle the spice mix over shrimp.
  7. Cook shrimp 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through. Remove shrimp to a plate.

  11. Sprinkle Parmesan if using and mix briefly. Turn off heat.
  12. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra lemon if desired.
