Easy Cheesy Jalapeno Bread

This quick and cheesy jalapeno bread is perfect for serving warm with butter. It’s easy to make in one bowl and is great alongside soups or salads.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapenos.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and melted butter.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and enjoy warm!

Notes

Serve warm with butter or cream cheese. Keep at room temperature for 2 days. For longer storage, freeze slices in a zip bag for up to 3 months.
