A delightful and comforting side dish made with thinly sliced turnips and creamy cheese.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs turnips, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced turnips.
- In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour half of this mixture over the turnips.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining turnips, cream mixture, and cheese.
- Top with grated Parmesan cheese and dot with butter.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the top is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure turnips are sliced thinly for even cooking. Experiment with different cheeses for varied flavors.
