Description
Tender beef patties in a rich mushroom gravy, slow-cooked for a family-friendly meal.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the patties on both sides.
- Transfer the patties to a slow cooker.
- In the same skillet, sauté the mushrooms until soft, then add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the mushroom mixture over the patties in the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 360 minutes (6-8 hours) or on high for 180 minutes (3-4 hours).
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
Notes
Browning the patties adds flavor. Cool leftovers to room temperature, then store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months.
