Easy Pumpkin Bread

A delightful treat, this easy pumpkin bread is moist and flavorful, perfect for snacking or dessert, especially during the fall season.

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, sugar, and vegetable oil until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, pumpkin spice, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding nuts or chocolate chips to the batter. A glaze made of powdered sugar and milk can add a sweet finish.
