A comforting and hearty dish perfect for family dinners, combining ground beef, mixed vegetables, and creamy mashed potatoes with a cheesy topping.

  • 1 cup gravy
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a cast iron skillet, heat a bit of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the gravy and mixed vegetables, bringing to a simmer.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the meat mixture.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped onions or garlic when cooking the ground beef. You can customize the vegetables based on availability.
