  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and then add buttermilk, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the colorful sprinkles.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
