Description
A rich and simple skillet meal featuring seared steak, garlic, and cheese-filled tortellini in a creamy sauce, perfect for a quick comfort meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb cheese-filled tortellini
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Remove steak and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain tortellini and return to the skillet.
- Pour in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes.
- Stir until cheese melts and sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked steak back to the skillet and mix well.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Slice the steak thin to ensure it cooks quickly and stays tender. Don’t burn the garlic; add it after the steak browns. Use fresh parsley for a bright flavor.
