A quick and flavorful General Tso chicken dish perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 23 tbsp chili paste
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken cubes and season with salt and pepper; cook until browned.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili paste; cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Add bell pepper and onion, and stir-fry until vegetables are tender.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

You can serve this chicken over rice or with noodles. For a low-carb meal, try it over cauliflower rice.
