Description
A warm, simple plate of gnocchi in a creamy beef carbonara sauce that you can make at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of gnocchi
- 1 cup beef, diced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook gnocchi according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the diced beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, egg yolks, and Parmesan cheese.
- Pour the cream mixture into the skillet with the beef, stirring to combine.
- Add the cooked gnocchi to the sauce and mix well.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Use fresh or good-quality gnocchi for best texture. Brown the beef well to add more flavor. Whisk the egg yolks and cheese quickly into the cream to keep the sauce smooth. Heat gently after adding the sauce so the eggs do not scramble.
