Description

Delightful gourmet bites made with mushrooms and leeks in flaky puff pastry, perfect for parties.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 leek, cleaned and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the leeks until soft.
  3. Add the chopped mushrooms and cook until they are golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares.
  5. Place a small spoonful of the mushroom and leek mixture in the center of each square.
  6. Fold the pastry over to create pockets and seal the edges.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

These puff pastry bites are best served warm. Add a light dipping sauce for extra flavor.
