- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 pear, thinly sliced
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and caramelize them until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, heat another skillet or griddle on the stove.
- Layer cheese, apple slices, pear slices, and caramelized onions between two slices of bread.
- Grill the sandwich on both sides until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Slice the sandwich and enjoy! Serve it warm, cut in half.
Notes
For extra sweetness, drizzle honey inside the sandwich before grilling. You can add nuts or fresh greens for additional texture.
