A quick and tasty take on the Philly cheesesteak made with ground beef.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until soft.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat your oven to broil.
- Divide the beef and onion mixture among the hoagie rolls. Top each with shredded provolone cheese.
- Place the filled rolls on a baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy your classic Philly cheesesteak!
Notes
For extra flavor, cook a little garlic with the onions. Add sliced mushrooms and green peppers for a variation.
