Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Halloween-themed decorations (e.g. candy eyes, sprinkles)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool and decorate with Halloween-themed decorations before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
