Description

A simple, tasty, and low-carb version of Salisbury steak made with ground beef and a rich mushroom gravy.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into patties.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Cook patties until browned on both sides. Remove patties and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and sauté until tender.
  6. Pour in beef broth and return patties to the skillet.
  7. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For a low-carb side, serve with steamed green beans or cauliflower mash. Skim fat from the skillet for a thinner sauce.
