Description

A warm, rich hot cocoa recipe that’s quick and easy to make, perfect for cold days.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 12 tablespoons sugar (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Marshmallows (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 cups of milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat until steaming but not boiling.
  2. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder and 1-2 tablespoons of sugar until fully dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  4. Pour into mugs and top with marshmallows or whipped cream.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use good quality cocoa powder. Adjust sugar according to your taste.
