Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte

A refreshing drink combining earthy matcha flavor with sweet strawberries, perfect for a homemade alternative to Starbucks.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 34 tbsp hot water
  • 1/2 cup strawberries (stemmed, optional)
  • 2 tsp sugar (optional)
  • Ice
  • 1 cup milk of your choice (almond milk recommended)
  • 3 strawberries (stemmed)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 12 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Make the strawberry cold foam by adding all ingredients in a small blender. Blend for 5-10 seconds until thickened but still pourable. Set aside.
  2. Add matcha and hot water in a bowl and whisk together until foamy.
  3. OPTIONAL: Muddle strawberries and sugar in a glass until broken down into mini chunks.
  4. Fill 3/4 of the glass with ice, then add milk. Top with matcha.
  5. Pour the strawberry cold foam on top. Stir and enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Experiment with different types of milk for unique tastes. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to a day.
