Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds of egg noodles
- 1 cup cream-style cottage cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- ⅓ cup fresh chives, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook and drain the egg noodles according to package instructions.
- In a large bowl, gently combine the cooked noodles with cottage cheese and sour cream.
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper, then fold in the chopped chives.
- Pour everything into a buttered 2-quart casserole dish.
- Dot the top with pieces of butter.
- Bake for around 30 minutes, until the noodles start to brown and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
Notes
For extra creaminess, increase the cottage cheese and sour cream to 2 cups each. Add more butter on top for richness. Best served fresh; refrigerate leftovers up to 3-4 days, but freezing is not recommended.
