A White House classic, Jackie Kennedy’s Casserole Marie Blanche is a creamy, comforting dish that brings a taste of presidential elegance to your table.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds of egg noodles
  • 1 cup cream-style cottage cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ⅓ cup fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook and drain the egg noodles according to package instructions.
  3. In a large bowl, gently combine the cooked noodles with cottage cheese and sour cream.
  4. Season the mixture with salt and pepper, then fold in the chopped chives.
  5. Pour everything into a buttered 2-quart casserole dish.
  6. Dot the top with pieces of butter.
  7. Bake for around 30 minutes, until the noodles start to brown and the casserole is hot and bubbly.

Notes

For extra creaminess, increase the cottage cheese and sour cream to 2 cups each. Add more butter on top for richness. Best served fresh; refrigerate leftovers up to 3-4 days, but freezing is not recommended.
