- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder or chopped nuts for coating
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it’s just about to simmer. Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until fully melted and smooth.
- Stir in the orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Refrigerate the mixture for about 120 minutes, or until firm.
- Once firm, scoop out small amounts and roll them into balls.
- Roll the truffles in cocoa powder or chopped nuts to coat.
- Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
Use good quality dark chocolate for better flavor. Keep truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 1 month.
