- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- zest of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Mix melted butter and sugar in a large bowl until well combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
- Add lemon zest and lemon juice; mix until incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool, then make the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with lemon juice until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled brownies, let set, and enjoy!
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh lemon juice and zest. Do not overmix the batter. Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
