Description
A quick and tasty dish of spicy, garlicky chickpeas that can be served over rice, pasta, or on toast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Cooked rice, pasta, or toast (for serving)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the chickpeas, paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chickpeas are heated through and slightly crispy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with rice, pasta, or on toast.
Notes
Dry the chickpeas well after rinsing for better crispiness. Use medium heat to prevent garlic from burning. Add a splash of lemon or vinegar for extra flavor.
