Orange Chocolate Christmas Truffles

Delightful truffles combining rich dark chocolate and zesty orange, perfect for festive occasions.

Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 100g heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Chopped nuts or sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop the dark chocolate and place it in a bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it comes to a simmer, then pour it over the chocolate.
  3. Let it sit for a couple of minutes, then stir until smooth.
  4. Add the orange zest and orange juice, mixing until well combined.
  5. Refrigerate the mixture for about 120 minutes or until firm.
  6. Once firm, use a spoon to scoop out small amounts and roll them into balls.
  7. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles to coat.
  8. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
