Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, almond extract, and pink food coloring.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
- Add milk to reach the desired dough consistency.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven until edges are golden.
- Let cool, then decorate with sprinkles or frosting if desired.
Notes
For a softer cookie, do not overbake; remove when edges are light golden. Use room temperature butter for easy creaming.
