- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until soft.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper, and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Spread the beef and vegetable mixture in a baking dish.
- Top with mashed potatoes, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For quicker preparation, use pre-made mashed potatoes. Brown the beef well for better flavor, and drain excess fat for a less greasy filling.
