Description
A quick and easy Cuban picadillo made with ground beef, olives, and raisins, perfect for a weeknight meal.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1/4 cup green olives, sliced
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, green olives, raisins, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Use lean ground beef to reduce grease. You can also make it vegetarian with plant-based ground meat or lentils.
