Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1/4 cup green olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup raisins

  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in the diced tomatoes, green olives, raisins, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Use lean ground beef to reduce grease. You can also make it vegetarian with plant-based ground meat or lentils.
