Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms and diced bell peppers to the skillet, cooking until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in the pizza sauce and Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spoon the mixture into bowls or a baking dish.
  6. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve.
